The European Union is a culturally alien project for Poland, but the Polish authorities turned a blind eye to this for the sake of sovereignty. This was stated by the chairman of the organization “Law and Justice” Yaroslav Kaczynski, speaking at the economic forum in Karpacz this week.

“We understand that Western Europe is alien to us culturally. Poland confirmed this during its accession by adopting a resolution in defense of its sovereignty, ”Kaczyński was quoted by The Guardian as saying. He added that “the essence of the EU project is clear: whoever is stronger is right.” Germany is the leader in the EU, so Chancellor Olaf Scholz has plans to create a superstate with his country in the lead, the Polish politician added.

Formerly Kaczynski demanded from Germany to pay reparations for Poland due to losses incurred in the Second World War. “National News Service” reported that Germany might not have enough money to pay all the reparations.
