opened Lusail Stadium, the largest stadium for the World Cup in Qatar Officially, Friday, following Al Hilal Saudi Club won the championship title Super Lusail Cupby defeating Zamalek of Egypt, by penalty shootout (4-1), following the end of the regular time in a positive tie with a goal for the same.

The stadium, which can accommodate eighty thousand spectators, except for the first floor of the eastern runway, was filled with fans of the Saudi Al-Hilal club and its rival Zamalek, where a pre-match concert was held by the Egyptian artist Amr Diab.

In turn, Nasser Al-Khater, CEO of the 2022 World Cup, said: “The remaining 70 days for the start of the World Cup, this match (Lucil Super Cup) is an important station for us and we are satisfied with the event, and the audience was large.”

Lusail Stadium, which is equipped with cooling systems, is the last of the seven newly built stadiums, and it previously hosted a match between Al Arabi and Al Rayyan on August 11, in the second round of the Qatar League, and caught the eye during the Super Lusail final, to be an icon of the 2022 World Cup stadiums.

The huge stadium in the modern city hosts ten matches during the World Cup: Argentina once morest Saudi Arabia, Brazil once morest Serbia, Argentina once morest Mexico, Portugal once morest Uruguay, Saudi Arabia once morest Mexico and Cameroon once morest Brazil in the group stage, in addition to a match in each of the 16th round, quarter-finals, Semi-finals and final.

The 64 matches of the World Cup will be held on eight stadiums, seven of which are new: Lusail, Al Bayt, Ahmed Bin Ali, 974, Al Thumama, Al Janoub and Education City, in addition to the development of Khalifa International Stadium, and I tested them in various tournaments such as the Club World Cup, Arab Cup and local competitions.
