The first day of voting in the election of the governor of the region has ended in Kaliningrad. The Klops correspondent visited two polling stations and talked to voters.

In the building of the IKBFU Kant on st. Universitetskaya was not as voters and observers. By lunchtime, 83 people had visited the polling station since the start of voting. But the students did not cancel the couples, so past the ballot box someone constantly ran out to smoke or went down to the dining room.
“It interferes. We asked them to cancel their classes, but they didn’t do it,” complained the chairman of the precinct electoral committee Larisa Chernyatyeva.
The other members of the commission are also unhappy – you have to constantly monitor everyone so that there is no mess. They have few other activities, however. Voters come in waves: on their way to work, at lunchtime, following a hard day’s work. The rest of the time occasionally come “oversized” citizens. There is hope that Sunday will be more cheerful.
For half an hour at lunchtime on the first day of voting, only two voters appeared at the polling station – a married couple aged regarding 60: “This is our duty, our duty. I think the voice will help. We always go to the polls, we decided to do the job earlier this time and that’s it.”

At the site located in gymnasium No. 32, there were regarding the same number of visitors. The correspondent was greeted with the words “Finally new faces! We are bored.” As the chairman of the electoral commission said, mostly pensioners are assigned to the school, but you can’t see them either – it’s raining outside, no one wants to leave the house.
“Usually there are more people when in one day, and today regarding 200 people came out of 2,000. Today everyone is at work, some grannies call, they say: “No, we ourselves will come when the sun comes out, I’ll at least go out, I’ll make up my lips.” We expect that by Sunday they will catch up, ”the election commission of the polling station said.
For half an hour, the Klops correspondent managed to meet two voters. The girl, who was in a hurry to return to work by the end of the lunch break, said: “I am an adult, I think that it is necessary to go to the polls so that my conscience does not torment me later. I’m trying to vote lately.”
A representative of a company that conducts a public opinion poll was waiting at the exit from the polling station. Nadezhda (name changed) said that many residents of the city refuse to say who they vote for: “They say “secret, I won’t tell”, but someone explains why he chooses this or that candidate: people are already tired of jumps, many want stability. And someone votes in such a way as to create competition, so that they move there.” Nadezhda added that she finishes work at 19:00, and then she will go to vote. It is interesting for her to follow the elections for her personal experience.
