Best snack for diet – a comprehensive guide to healthy snacks

Diet followers are looking for snacks that are high in nutritional value, low in calories and satisfying at the same time, to control their hunger in the middle of the day.

In this regard, the UAE Ministry of Health and Community Protection published, through its official account on the “Instagram” website, a list of the most prominent foods that can be eaten, as a healthy snack, when feeling hungry, according to CNN.

Best snack for diet

The Ministry has specified healthy snacks for the diet in the following foods:

Half a cup of low-fat yogurt with cranberries.

Fresh apple slices with 1 teaspoon peanut butter.

Cucumber slices with chickpeas.

If you are tired of the previous foods, you can replace them with the nutritional recommendations of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for a healthy diet snack, including:

Fresh fruits, such as apples, oranges and bananas.

Canned fruits, provided you see the nutritional facts on the package, to choose the types that are completely free of added sugars.

Dried fruits, such as raisins.

Fresh vegetables, such as cucumbers and carrots.

Low-fat or fat-free dairy products, such as sugar-free light yogurt.

Low salt crackers.

Whole-grain bread, such as oatmeal.

Proteins, such as turkey strips without the skin.

Raw nuts, such as almonds.
