In response to North Korea’s announcement of legalizing the offensive use of nuclear weapons, China said it would continue to play an active role in the political resolution of the Korean Peninsula issue.
Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maoning responded as follows when asked regarding a related question at a regular briefing, saying that there is no change in China’s position on safeguarding peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula.
Earlier, at the 7th session of the 14th Supreme People’s Assembly, which ended yesterday (8th), North Korea adopted an offensive nuclear force policy as a law.
