The bad news continues in the Belgian Horeca world. We learned this Friday via our colleagues from HLN that La Terrasse Du Zoute, an emblematic establishment in Knokke-Heist, is closing its doors with immediate effect.
The announcement was made by Stefan Vanhollebeke, the entrepreneur at the head of the brewery. Why this unexpected closure? For health reasons, he explains.
“He has always put his heart and soul into the business, so it’s obviously not easy for him,” says Audrey Collard-Bovy, Marketing Manager for Vanhollebeke Hotels. Stefan also asks that his privacy be respected following this difficult decision.
For 14 years, La Terrasse Du Zoute has been the heyday of the coastal town. It was named “the friendliest restaurant in Belgium” in 2019.
