Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile has revealed a short teaser teasing the return of the fan-favorite battle royale map, Verdansk. Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile has been the subject of teasers for quite some time, and while fans will have to wait until next week for it to be fully revealed, it looks like they can already count on Verdansk’s big return.
Verdansk was the original battle royale map in Call of Duty: Warzone when it was first released. Over time, major changes were made to Verdansk to bring it in line with the current Call of Duty game on the market. Ultimately, Verdansk was completely removed from Call of Duty: Warzone and replaced with the Caldera map.
The map change was initially well received as many Call of Duty: Warzone fans were ready for something new, but it ultimately proved highly controversial, leading many to call for a return of Verdansk.
Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile was featured at the recent GameSpot Swipe event, focused on mobile gaming. It was then confirmed that Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will be featured at the big Call of Duty reveal event on September 15.
The game itself was teased with a short video showing off the well-known Verdansk plane. Although not outright confirmed, the video hints that Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will take players to Verdansk.
However, it has been confirmed via the game’s updated website that there will be 120 player matches and shared progression.
The Call of Duty reveal event is scheduled for September 15. At that point, Call of Duty fans can expect Activision to pull back the curtain on its new Warzone projects, as well as the Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer experience.
