War Elizabeth II die. The lights of the Eiffel Tower, France, will be turned off in honor of Queen Elizabeth II’s passing.

Reported by Archyde.com, Friday (9/9/2022), this was stated by the Mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo. He confirmed that British Ambassador Menna Rawlings supported the Paris authorities’ move.

“Tonight, the lights of the Eiffel Tower will be turned off in honor of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II,” Hidalgo said.

The official Eiffel Tower account on Twitter has also announced this. The Eiffel Tower lights will be turned off at midnight.

“As a tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, tonight, I will turn off the lights at midnight,” wrote the @LaTourEiffel account.

Queen Elizabeth II has died at Balmoral Palace, Scotland. Leaders from various countries such as Joe Biden to Emmanuel Macron also mourned.

Hundreds of people gathered around the gates of Buckingham Palace. They simultaneously sang the song ‘God Save The Queen’.

The flag was flown at half mast at Buckingham Palace.
