In eastern Ladakh, Indian and Chinese troops have begun their military withdrawal from the Gogra-Hotsprings area where they were facing each other. The decisive decision was taken at the end of the 16th Commander-in-Chief talks held by both countries. The military withdrawal started from Patrol Point 15. It will take a few days before a complete military withdrawal is possible. Both countries confirmed the withdrawal of forces through a joint statement. In the months of April-May 2020, the Chinese army invaded areas in eastern Ladakh where there was no military deployment earlier and the Indian forces stood face to face to defend them. Finally, in June, the two armies came to a point of face-to-face at Galvan.
