Police arrested a man in his 40s who tried to kidnap a teenage girl from an apartment elevator.
The Goyang Police Station in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 8th that it is investigating a 42-year-old man A (42) on suspicion of attempted abduction of a minor.
According to the police, A is suspected of fleeing while trying to kidnap Ms. B, a teenage girl, from an elevator in Goyang-si around 7:15 pm on the 7th, forcibly taking her to the 18th floor, the top floor, with a knife.
Mr. A ran away when he ran into another resident on the top floor where the elevator stopped, and was immediately arrested in the parking lot by the police who responded to the resident’s report.
