Flugrettung Burgenland: ÖAMTC objected to the revocation of the tender

by Alexandra Hartman Editor-in-Chief

In June, the ÖAMTC, which was defeated in the bidding process, appealed to the LVwG once morest the state’s decision that air rescue should no longer be carried out by helicopters from the mobility club, but by Martin Flugrettung GmbH. He actually reversed the decision, and the ÖAMTC assumed that it would be awarded the contract without a new tender.

However, the country announced a new tender. “When the new tender is on the table, we will see if we are there,” said a spokesman.

The reorganization of air rescue in Burgenland was also the subject of a special state parliament session on Wednesday evening. In this, ÖVP and FPÖ reiterated their criticism of the state government. Governor Hans Peter Doskozil (SPÖ), on the other hand, rejected the criticism: “I don’t care who gets it. It has to be dealt with correctly and cleanly,” he said, explaining the new tender.
