The Ministry of Industry and Trade has launched a public order with a view to better regulating the aspect of aid granted to the automotive ecosystem. The project will focus on the verification phase of supporting documents for expenses submitted by car manufacturers or suppliers. The challenge is to reduce processing times for the disbursement of subsidies granted to investors in the automotive sector.
This financial aid from the State for the benefit of the players in this ecosystem comprises four types: specific subsidies intended for car manufacturers and others making it possible to offset the impact of port taxes and additional logistical costs relating to the flows of manufacturers and their automotive suppliers.
In addition, the aid also covers specific subsidies intended to reimburse the differential for the transport of manufacturers’ vehicles, and ultimately subsidies to capacity investors under investment agreements signed within the framework of automotive ecosystems.
The benefit is around 1.8 million dirhams spread over the four categories, 90 for the first, 10 for the second, 10 for the third and 65 for the fourth.
