Champions League: Liverpool shipwreck in Naples – Bayern wins Kracher at inter

Napoli – Liverpool 4:1

Liverpool started with just 9 points from 6 games already in the league anything but as desired. At the start of the Champions League, the Reds are now conceding a real debacle in Naples. The previous season’s CL finalist was crushed 4-1 at the Stadio Diego Maradona, with the disaster taking its course following just 5 minutes. Zielinski (5th) gives the Italians an early lead with a hand penalty, his team-mate Osimhen fails from the spot a little later. Goals from Anguissa (31st) and Simeone (44th) still give Napoli a high lead before the break. Immediately following the break, Zielinski (47′) put together his brace, which Liverpool only had to counter with Diaz’s consolation goal (49′). Jürgen Klopp’s time at Borussia Dortmund came to an end in his seventh year. Now the German cult coach is in a very difficult situation in Liverpool in his seventh season.

Barcelona – Pilsen 5:1

Big evening for Robert Lewandowski. The world footballer (34th, 45+3rd, 67th) warmed up in his first CL game for the Blaugrana and scored a hat-trick once morest Pilsen. Two goals in the first half, plus one following the break, ensure a successful day of work for the Polish star striker. Kessié (13′) and Torres (71′) scored the other goals for Barça. Sykora (44th) can meanwhile shorten for the Czechs. In the end, however, this is merely a cosmetic result.

Inter – Bayern 0:2

FC Bayern Munich has made a successful start to the Champions League season. In his first group game, the record German champions won 2-0 (1-0) at Inter Milan on Wednesday evening. National player Leroy Sané gave Bayern the lead in the 25th minute. After the break, Inter captain Danilo D’Ambrosio (66th) scored in his own goal following a shot by Sané. In their second game in Group C, coach Julian Nagelsmann’s team meets FC Barcelona with former Bayern striker Robert Lewandowski on Tuesday.

Brugge – Leverkusen 1:0

The air for Gerry Seoane is getting thinner at Leverkusen. The troubled Bundesliga club Leverkusen also messed up at the start of the Champions League. Coach Gerardo Seoane’s team lost 1-0 (0-1) at Belgian champions FC Brugge on Wednesday and suffered their sixth defeat in their seventh competitive game across all competitions. The winning goal at the Jan Breydel Stadium was characteristic of Bayer: when Abakar Sylla made it 0-1 (42nd minute), goalkeeper and captain Lukas Hradecky dropped the ball into his own goal. Chelsea loanee Callum Hudson-Odoi’s debut in the offensive might not help either. The best Bayer chance was missed by Moussa Diaby, who hit the post in the 28th minute.

Atletico – Porto 2:1

What kind of crazy ending is that? In Madrid’s Wanda Metropolitano it looked like a zero number for a long time, but then Taremi flies off the field with yellow-red shortly before the end at the Portuguese. Atlético first took advantage of Hermoso’s superiority (90′ + 1′), but Porto were awarded a hand penalty a short time later, which Uribe sunk in cold water. Griezmann then had the last word, shooting the Colchoneros to victory in the 11th minute of injury time.

Tottenham – Marseille 2:0

London have been without goals for a long time, with Marseille surprisingly being the better team in the first half. Immediately following the change of sides, however, OM defender Mbemba is sent off due to an emergency brake following struggling around Tottenham’s son. The Spurs take advantage of the numerical superiority late in the game. Brazil star striker Richarlison (76th, 81st) scored twice for the Premier League club’s expected victory.
