Details of the decision to seize famous dancers in Egypt..and reveal their names and the charges against them

Al-Marsad Newspaper: The Judicial Enforcement Mission to monitor artistic works in Egypt has issued misdemeanour cases for 15 dancers on charges of dancing without a license and provoking the venue with sexual innuendos.

The most prominent names in these cases were the dancer “Jawhara, Fairuz, Lordana, Dalma, Badra, Didi, Maris”, according to the Cairo 24 website.

The details are due to the receipt of information regarding the censorship of the works, with a number of tourist nightclubs announcing concerts for the aforementioned dancers at different times during the past month, and following the presence of the Judicial Control Mission with the works on the dates of the ceremony in the areas of Heliopolis, Mohandessin, Haram Street, Zamalek, downtown Cairo, Two misdemeanor cases were filed directly for each dancer, on charges of dancing without a license and not carrying an artistic work, as well as wearing an illegal dance suit, and provoking the venue.
