01 September 2022:
The 48th episode of Emirates Draw brought joy and happiness into the lives of many. Sajid Naushad, a non-resident Malayalee, was one of them who won a prize of 77,777 dirhams each.

Sajid, a business owner, has participated in Emirates Draw only twice. By then luck had caught up with him. He says he mightn’t contain his joy when he got the unexpected win. He says that he woke up his wife and parents who were sleeping to inform them regarding the gift. Sajid says the money will be used to pay off liabilities, support his family, and help his workforce, who have been steadfast in their support during the challenging times of the Covid-19 pandemic, and who are also the critical strength of his business.

It was also a moment of happiness for Surendran Nair, an expatriate Malayalee Sreejith Kochuputedutud who won a prize of Dh77,777 through the Emirates draw. He celebrated his victory by going out for dinner with his family. The 40-year-old civil engineer had previously won Dh77 when he matched two out of seven numbers. Therefore, at first he might not believe the fact that he received a prize of 77,777 dirhams.

“I was shocked when I got the prize of AED 77,777. I had only participated in the draw a few times. My wife didn’t believe the prize until I was shown the e-mail message,” he added with a laugh. His decision is to set aside money for the education expenses of his eight-year-old son.

Another lucky winner is Manoj Madhusudan. He has been a regular draw since the start of the Emirates Draw in September 2021 and won Dh77,777 each in the weekly draw twice in three weeks. His successes are proof that patience and persistence can pay off big.

A friend called Manoj, who is also a father of two, to inform him of the winner once more. Later there was a rush to check and make sure what he heard was true.

“I jumped like a little kid following making sure I won once more. I never expected to get another prize like this so soon”. He added that he works as a superintendent in the workshop.

Manoj’s philosophy is to keep trying and never give up. Since the first draw, the 55-year-old has been regularly buying two pencils worth Dh50 each. But when he didn’t get the gift, he started buying three pencils each. However, the strategy was successful. For the first time, a prize of 77,777 dirhams was received.

“I will continue to support the poor people with the prize money and support local charities. I now feel like participating in the lottery once more. Who knows, maybe I will win once more” – said Madhusudanan.

23 June 2022:
Malayalee Divya Sudevan’s lottery win turned into a family celebration. Divya’s husband turned the news of winning Dh77,777 in the socially responsible Emirates Draw into a celebration for the entire family.

The 36-year-old engineer intends to use the prize money to support her daughter’s education expenses and support her family back home. And Divya is using this opportunity to relaunch her career in a new direction following taking a temporary hiatus to take care of her six-year-old daughter.

“When my husband told me I mightn’t believe it. Everyone in the family has been participating in the Emirates draw since it started regarding ten months ago. But this is the first time I am winning” – says Divya, sharing her happiness.

“It’s always been my dream to become an investor. But with the current win, I will be able to set aside a portion of the prize money to make that dream come true. Thanks to Emirates Draw for boosting everyone’s confidence by providing so many opportunities to win every week,” said Divya.

For Sanu MS, a Malayali living in Fujairah, winning the Emirates draw came as a blessing. The 38-year-old, who works as a purchasing representative in the construction sector, had participated in the draw several times but had yet to win a prize.

“I was going through a tough time. Being awarded Dh77,777 gave me a new awakening. I can pay off my debts and if there is anything left, I can decide later what to do with it,” says Sanu with a smile.

“At first I thought it was a promotional e-mail message from Emirates Draw, so I didn’t pay attention to it. But I was very happy to know that I had won the prize. I will continue to participate in the draw. I hope to win more.

9 February 2022:
Sabujan Zainuddin, a Malayali who works in the medical field in the country, was a regular participant in the draw but had never won a prize in any draw before, so he was doubtful whether he might believe the congratulatory message that he had won a prize in the Emirates draw.

“Until I checked and confirmed, I was under the impression that it was a fake message. I still can’t believe that I got the prize because the numbers for the draw were randomly selected,” says Senuddin. He says that the news that he received a prize of 77,777 dirhams was shocking and unbelievable.

The 46-year-old father of two is a frequent visitor to the UAE. “This money will be used to pay off liabilities. The rest will be given to friends and relatives and a portion will be set aside for charity.”
