Elon Musk: what did he say regarding the series The Rings of Power?
The broadcast of one of the most anticipated series of the year began last Friday. Indeed, the first two episodes of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power were published by Amazon. On this occasion, the multinational took the opportunity to make public for the first time the audience figures for one of its series: the one in the universe created by JRR Tolkien achieves a record for the platform, with 25 million viewers on launch day. A figure to be taken with tweezers, however, since the method of measurement has not been communicated by Amazon.
Among these 25 million spectators there are probably many well-known figures. This is for example the case of Elon Musk. The founder of Tesla, SpaceX or even Neuralink, who is among the richest personalities on the planet, wanted to express his opinion on the series on Twitter. A not very favorable opinion:
Tolkien is turning in his grave.
Pretty much all of the male characters so far are either cowards, morons, or both. Only Galadriel is brave, intelligent and kind.
A notice that was enough reignited the fiery debates of viewers on the series, at the heart of a review bombing which would (among other things) originate from the inclusiveness of the cast.
In addition to Elon Musk who was among the spectators, it was also Neil Gaiman who watched the series whose work was recently adapted into a television series. The creator of Sandman, whose work was recently adapted into a television series, was asked regarding the billionaire’s reaction to the show. He speaks on Twitter and does not spare it either:
Elon Musk doesn’t come to me for tips on how to miss the Twitter takeover. Conversely, I don’t come to see him for literature, television or film reviews.
A comment that leads to believe that Neil Gaiman has something to do with The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. In another tweet, he explains that he has no particular relationship with the series. He adds that he watched the first two episodes which he enjoyed and “just made the mistake of answering a question“.
