(Archyde.com) – Former world No. 1 Dustin Johnson of the United States will participate in the Liv Golf Invitational Series (LIV), a new men’s golf tour backed by Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund. It is said that he earned 7.7 million dollars (regarding 1.1 billion yen) in four individual competitions.
Golfweek, a U.S. golf magazine, reported on the 6th that Johnson’s total winnings, including team competitions, are close to $10 million.
Twenty-four golfers earned at least $1 million in four individual tournaments. This does not include contract revenue.
Besides Johnson, players with more than $4 million have included Branden Grace ($6 million), Charles Schwartzel (both South Africa) ($4.5 million) and Henrik Stenson (Sweden) ($4 million).
