During the Chuseok holiday this year, nine highway rest areas, including Anseong, will be able to undergo COVID-19 testing. Confirmed patients can use the home treatment medical consultation center when they need counseling or prescription drugs. Some medical institutions and pharmacies that prescribe treatments necessary for severe prevention of high-risk groups will also open.

The quarantine authorities announced on the 7th that they will install temporary screening and inspection stations at 9 highway rest areas so that they can receive tests while traveling to visit their hometowns and relatives during the holiday period starting on the 9th. Currently, screening clinics and temporary screening centers in public health centers carry out tests only for high-risk groups, such as those aged 60 or older.

However, since the service station inspection station is installed only in one direction, not in both directions, it is necessary to check the location and operating hours carefully. Gyeonggi and Gyeongnam service station inspection stations will remain open until the 15th. If you want to be tested at a screening clinic or testing center in your area, you can check the operating hours on the Naver/Kakao map service or the government’s Corona 19 representative website.

Most of the at-home treatment medical consultation centers are open even during the holidays. The quarantine authorities have taken measures to open more than 150 places a day between the 9th and 12th. A confirmed patient who stays at home during the holidays can call the medical consultation center to discuss their health condition, prescribe medication, and receive bed assignments. Some of the ‘one-stop medical institutions’ that can perform tests, treatment, and treatment prescriptions will also be opened. Currently, there are more than 10,000 one-stop medical institutions, and 700-2500 are scheduled to be operated a day during the holidays. The pharmacies in charge of treatment have decided to implement a shift system so that at least one of them is open in each city, county, and gu.

As of 00:00 on that day, there were 85,540 new confirmed cases. This is 85% of what it was a week ago (August 31, 103,923 people). The quarantine authorities are predicting that the epidemic will continue for a long time as the decrease in the epidemic continues, but the extent of the decrease increases slowly. The increase in travel and contact during the holidays is also likely to have an impact.
