ABU DHABI, September 7 / WAM / The Ministry of Education participated in the work of the fifth meeting of the joint working group between the countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf and the sisterly Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in the field of education, which was held in the Jordanian capital, Amman.
The Ministry’s delegation was headed by His Excellency Dr. Hassan Al Muhairi, Assistant Undersecretary for the Licensing and Quality Sector, and included Hamdan Al Shukaili, Director of the Research and Education Data Center, and Khawatam Al Rashidi from the Education and International Cooperation Department.
The meeting – which lasted for three days – was held with the aim of approving the executive program of the joint action plan for the years 2023-2027, and discussing many areas of cooperation, exchanging expertise and experiences to improve and developing the educational process in brotherly countries, intensifying efforts to implement action plans, exchanging experiences and sharing visions on the development of education and strategic planning.
His Excellency Dr. Hassan Al Muhairi stressed the Ministry’s keenness to highlight the country’s efforts in an integrated manner in developing education and consolidating the sustainability of its quality, in line with best practices and international standards, to achieve national achievements in comprehensive development and knowledge economy, in line with the strategy of looking ahead and global competitiveness in various fields in the next fifty.
He said that the fifth meeting of the joint working group between the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council and Jordan represents a solid extension of the deep-rooted and historical relations between them, especially in the field of education. Knowledge that promotes developmental and civilizational development.
His Excellency extended his thanks and appreciation to His Excellency Dr. Wajih Owais, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the sisterly Kingdom of Jordan, for the sincere efforts in preparing and arrangements for the meeting, and for ensuring the success of its work and achieving its goals, which serves the people of the Gulf Cooperation Council and Jordan in all fields of education.
