Witnesses said that when a missing person was seen swimming near the entrance to the parking lot, rescue teams tied a rope and rescued them.

The rescued resident is a 39-year-old male and is said to be in relatively healthy condition.

A representative of the rescue team said, “The villager came out holding the pipe on his own and swam and rescued it because he might see it with the naked eye.”

A firefighter official said, “The location of the discovery is a space presumed to be an air pocket in the underground parking lot.”

At around 7:41 a.m. on that day, when heavy rain was pouring due to a typhoon, I went to get a car in the underground parking lot of an apartment in Indeok-dong, Nam-gu, Pohang-si.

The city of Pohang and the fire department estimated that seven people were missing.

The underground parking lot of the apartment was completely flooded by heavy rain.

The fire department and other authorities are currently mobilizing all their equipment to drain the underground parking lot.

However, since the underground parking lot is completely submerged, it will take a considerable amount of time to drain.

The flooded underground parking lot is 150 meters long, 35 meters wide, and 3.5 meters high, and it is known that there are regarding 100 vehicles.

Authorities estimate that 45,000 tons of water are inside.

According to the fire department, the residents living in the first and second apartment complexes appeared to have disappeared following going out to move their vehicles following a notice to the management office telling them to move their vehicles in the underground parking lot around 6:30 a.m. on the same day.
