The venues for the 2022-23 domestic cricket season have been decided. All the men’s and women’s tournaments like Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Vijay Hazare Trophy, Ranji Trophy etc will be there in the season. Women’s Under-15 matches will also be held from this season.
The Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy runs from October 11 to November 5. Vijay Hazare Trophy from November 12 to December 2. Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy League matches will be held at Lucknow, Indore, Rajkot, Punjab and Jaipur. Vijay Hazare League matches will be held in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi and Kolkata Ranchi. The knockout matches of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and Vijay Hazare Trophy tournaments will be held at Kolkata and Ahmedabad respectively.
This is the first time since 2020 that the BCCI is conducting a domestic season that includes all tournaments. Each Irani Cup will be held at the beginning and end of the season. 2020 Ranji champions Saurashtra will face Rest of India from October 1 to 5. Defending champions Madhya Pradesh will play the Rest of India team from March 1-5 next year.
For the first time, women’s under-15 tournament will also be held. The matches will be held from December 26 to January 12 at Bengaluru, Ranchi, Rajkot and Indore.
