In just one week, 356 cases of monkeypox were reported in the country, according to the National Institute of Health. To date, 1,461 cases have been analyzed, of which 938 have been confirmed and 523 have been ruled out.

The cities that report the most cases continue to be Bogotá, with 697 cases, followed by Antioquia with 125, Cali with 30 records, and Cundinamarca with 21 confirmed infections. Likewise, the capital continues to score in confirmed cases recovered with 159.

Note that the main symptoms of monkeypox are fever, headache, intense tiredness, muscle pain, swollen lymph nodes and the appearance of skin lesions 1 to 3 days following the onset of fever.

According to the Institute of Health, if you have had contact with a confirmed case, symptoms may appear 5 to 21 days later.
