Pro soccer Gangwon produces Young Player Award winners for 3 months in a row

(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Jang Bo-in = Gangwon FC’s flank defender Kim Jin-ho (22) was selected as the ‘young player of August’ in the professional soccer K-League.
The Korea Professional Football Federation announced on the 6th that Kim Jin-ho won the K-League ‘Lemona Young Player of the Month’.
This award, established last year, is given to the young player who performed the most in K League 1 every month.
A technical research group under the Technical Committee of the Professional Federation for K-League 1 players who are 23 years old or younger (born following 1999) of Korean nationality and who are less than 3 years old (debut following 2020 season) from the year of their first appearance in the K-League official game (TSG) The winners are decided by the votes of the members.
Kim Jin-ho received the highest evaluation among 11 candidates including Kim Ji-soo (Seongnam), Min Kyung-hyeon (Incheon), Lee Han-beom (Seoul), and Cho Jin-woo (Daegu).
Kim Jin-ho, who started as a right wingback in all five matches played in Gangwon in August, won the hearts of the TSG members by scoring consecutive goals in the 28th round once morest Suwon FC and the 23rd round once morest Suwon Samsung.
As a result, Gangwon has produced Young Player Award winners for three consecutive months, following Hyun-Jun Yang, who won consecutive awards in June and July, and Jin-Ho Kim.
