Injury threatens Pogba to miss the World Cup in Qatar.. Juventus coach comments

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Paul Pogba, player of the Italian club Juventus, decided to perform an operation on the meniscus in his right knee, following suffering an injury last July, during his team’s preparations for the new season.

According to press reports, Paul Pogba will need 6 to 8 weeks to recover from the surgical procedure in the cartilage site.

Pogba is now threatened with being absent from the French national team in the 2022 World Cup, which will be held following 77 days, specifically between the next November and December in Qatar.

Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri said regarding Paul Pogba’s injury, that he will rely on the player from January 2023.

Allegri added, to the media, before the match between Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain: “We will get Paul Pogba back in January, whether he plays the World Cup or not. It is not my problem, but the team’s problem is that he will return in January.”

Pogba returned to Juventus this summer, coming from Manchester United.

At the international level, Paul Pogba, 29, played 91 matches with the French national team, during which he scored 11 goals, and played a prominent role in crowning the “roosters” with the World Cup Russia 2018.
