Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications, said that the UAE has so far attracted more than 1,000 companies working in digital transactions technology (Blockchain), stressing that the long-term vision of the wise country’s leadership has helped attract this number. of companies within a short period, while the UAE is working with the same concept to attract companies working in “Metaverse” technologies and services around the world.
Al-Ulama added, in private statements to “Al-Khaleej”, that the number of companies working in “Metaverse” technologies and services around the world does not exceed a few thousand, stressing the UAE’s ambition to attract a large proportion of them to work in the country during the current period, by preparing all factors of success for them.
He pointed out that the UAE’s legislative and regulatory structure qualifies it to transform into a global center to host companies working in “Metaverse” and “Augmented Reality” technologies and services, which contribute to serving the government and private sectors to promote their growth in the country.
In statements on the sidelines of the “Spark R Challenge” conference for the world of “Metaverse”, which was held at the Museum of the Future, the scientists stressed that the UAE seeks to employ these advanced technologies that will open up new investment opportunities, so that the UAE will become the first stop for establishing companies working in this field.
The scholars said regarding the UAE’s tendency to develop its legislative and infrastructure to benefit from technical development, especially related to “metavirus”: “This sector is emerging and has many legislative and regulatory needs to prepare all means of success for it, which is what we are currently working on with all workers in this sector.” .
He added: “We are working to understand all the needs of companies and entities working with Metaverse technologies to develop a clear plan and a road map that is easy to implement, to enable workers in this field in coordination with all concerned authorities in the country to reach the best visions for developing services and business success in general.”
