GPC obtains the Halal Label from IMANOR for its sites in Mohammedia, Kénitra and Agadir

Gharb Paper and Cardboard (GPC) has successfully obtained the Halal Label from IMANOR (Moroccan Institute for Standardization), under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, for its sites in Mohammedia, Kénitra papeterie, Kénitra AFZ and Agadir.

In order to support the growth of the Agri-food and Agricultural industry, both in Morocco and in Arab and Middle Eastern countries, and within the framework of its food hygiene and safety policy, GPC – Papier et Carton has set up on its various paper and cardboard production sites, an approach guaranteeing the conformity of its products and vis-à-vis specifications previously adopted and responding to the principles and rules of consumption prescribed in Islam.

This approach was crowned by obtaining the Halal Label from IMANOR (Moroccan Institute for Standardization), under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, for its sites in Mohammedia, Kénitra papeterie, Kénitra AFZ and Agadir. The following products are thus concerned by this labeling: American boxes, folding boxes, trays, agricultural trays, recycled products (reels of paper).

On this occasion, Mounir El Bari, Managing Director of GPC – Paper and Cardboard declared: “This proactive approach will enable GPC to respond favorably to the requirements of the “Halal” markets in full development throughout the world. This achievement comes in addition to all other ISO 90001, Version 2018, ISO 14001 Version 2018, ISO 45001 Version 2018, ISO 50001 Version 2018, BRC (British Retail Consortium) and FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and will allow GPC to prove once once more its Moroccan and African leadership in the paper and cardboard packaging sector”.
