American actor Jesse Eisenberg inaugurated on Sunday evening a booth in his name on Deauville Beach, ahead of the screening of his movie “Win You Finish Saving the World” at the American Film Festival that is being held in the French coastal city and will run until September 11.
In the hot weather, the “The Social Network” star, with a big smile on his face, signed some autographs for fans and posed for pictures in front of the plaque bearing his name.
Eisenberg joined John Travolta, Sean Connery and Clint Eastwood, who also carry plaques in their name on this French beach.
“As you can undoubtedly guess from my appearance and colour, I hardly go to the beach, so that gives me a great excuse to go to the beach,” Eisenberg joked.
He added, “The presence of a French city that celebrates American cinema is wonderful for me, because as an American, I see France at the top, so I feel very honored to receive me and show my film.”
Eisenberg was especially known for his portrayal of Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook, in the movie “The Social Network” in 2010. He also participated in his career with huge productions such as “Zombieland”, and also with more modest films such as “Vivarium”.
The film “Win You Finish Saving the World”, his first cinematic work, was also presented at the Cannes Film Festival outside the official competition last May.
