Al-Marsad newspaper: The Saudi champion, “Mohammed Al Mukhles”, who won the gold medal in the Jiu-Jitsu Championship, broke down in tears following receiving his gold medal.
Al Mukhlis said, “Today, in the largest gathering of the whole world in the sport of jiu-jitsu, there is no limit to override the Saudi flag, nor to raise the flag of his country above the flag of my country.”
He added, “This is for your eyes, servant of the two houses. For your eyes, Abu Fahd.” He also thanked the Crown Prince and the Saudi people.
He continued: “Thank you to the Saudi people, you have been the best supporter of me from the beginning until today,” sending a moving message to his son, saying: “You promised me, Fahd, that you would not give in to the disease, please, it is enough, Fahd, my son, do not die.”
He commented on the video, saying: “Praise be to God, first and foremost… Praise be to God, who gave me the ability to represent the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia well.” He added: “Today in Las Vegas, no flag is higher than the Saudi flag.”
