Doubs: The murderer of a 14-year-old does it again on his first outing

Maxime Roussel was 14 years old. He lived in Etouvans (French Doubs) near Montbéliard with his family. He loved motocross. This is undoubtedly what earned him his fatal attack: the only “plausible” explanation that emerged at the assizes two years later. On January 10, 2012, the teenager had precisely left to indulge in his favorite sport. He never reappeared. He had been found stabbed in a forest with several stab wounds, including one in the carotid. His body was partially charred. His killer, 17 years old at the time, was a friend of his who always denied being the author of this crime. He admitted, however, to having been present at the time of the incident and to having stolen his friend’s machine.

Sentenced to 22 years in prison, the murderer benefited last week from his first outing since his trial. During the night of Tuesday to Wednesday, the young man would have taken a taxi at the Gare de Lyon in Paris and struck several blows with a box cutter at the neck of the driver before stealing his vehicle. The 33-year-old driver miraculously escaped. This recurrence is reported by our colleagues from France Info. Just like his new arrest. The assault actually took place in Saint-Forget in the Yvelines. On the run for two days, he was arrested in Eure (Normandy) thanks to the demarcation of his telephone. An investigation has been opened for attempted murder and armed robbery.
