The coach who won the World Cup for England arrives to improve Punjab

New Delhi: Trevor Bayliss, who won the World Cup for England, is coming to coach Punjab Kings. Bayliss will be the coach of Punjab in the next season of IPL. Baylis will be replaced by Anil Kumbla. Earlier, Bayliss coached Sunrisers Hyderabad. Bayliss, 59, is from New South Wales.

Belize won the 2019 World Cup for England. 2019 was England’s maiden crown. Bayliss was part of the supporting staff when Kolkata Knight Riders won the title in 2012 and 2014 seasons. Punjab Kings did not make it to the playoffs last season. Following this, Kumbla’s contract was not renewed by the management. Punjab Kings reached the final only once in the history of IPL.

They lost to Kolkata Knight Riders that day. The Punjab Kings have finished sixth in the last four seasons. Mayank Agarwal was given the captaincy last season from Lokesh Rahul. The arrow also failed. Punjab will also have to find a new captain in the new season. The team decided to move forward with Trevor, who has a great record.
