Alappuzha: Kattiltheket winners in 68th Nehru Trophy Boat Race. The middle chundan won the second place.
Pallathurathy Boch Club rowed for the winners. This is a hat-trick victory for Pallathuruthy. Four chundan boats who had set the best time in the exciting heats races competed in the final race.
Minister KN Balagopal inaugurated the competition. Andaman and Nicobar Lt. Governor Rtd. Admiral DK Joshi was the chief guest. District Collector and Nehru Trophy Society Chairman VR Krishna Teja welcomed the event in which Ministers PA Muhammad Riaz, P. Prasad and others were present. The matches started 15 minutes later than scheduled.
