Transfers – Olympique de Marseille: Bamba Dieng would be targeted by an offer from Antwerp for 7 million euros

This one, we didn’t see it coming… While Bamba Dieng, unwanted by Igor Tudor and pushed to leave OM, seemed to have failed to find a new club following one last day of the incredible transfer windowa final reversal of the situation might well take place. The team reveals that Belgian league leaders Royal Antwerp are preparing an offer of almost 7 million euros for the 22-year-old striker. The negotiations are going well, because the transfer window is still open until September 6 in Belgium.

Announced on the same day in Lorient, Leeds and Nice last Thursday, Bamba Dieng might therefore finally discover the Jupiler Pro League with the Antwerp club, trained by Mark van Bommel. He would find there, among others, known faces from Ligue 1 such as Calvin Stengs and Bjorn Engels, as well as names more familiar to the general public such as Belgian internationals Toby Alderweireld and Radja Nainggolan. For Olympique de Marseille and its president Pablo Longoria, a transfer of such a sum for a player under contract until 2024 who seemed promised an almost blank season would be a real godsend.
