King Saud Medical City advised to conduct periodic examinations of the child’s eyes to maintain their health, with the need to see a doctor when symptoms of low vision appear.
The city indicated that the signs of poor eyesight in a child include tilting the head and lowering the eyes when seeing distant objects such as the blackboard, rubbing the eyes hard, and being very sensitive to light.
She noted that the symptoms also include the appearance of strabismus, the closeness of the book while reading, and the unwillingness to read.
