Fans of The Last of Us are discovering some of the new details introduced in Part 1, including a working scale that shows Joel’s weight.

Ever since it was first rumored, there has been debate regarding whether The Last of Us Part 1 should even exist. Whichever side you choose in this debate, the remake finally came out yesterday and fans of the series have begun to notice new details.

Several players have noticed one funny hidden detail, which recently shared Twitter user mitchob1012. Some of the bathrooms in the game have a working scale that the player can use to force Joel to stand up, and if they do, the arrow will move to show his weight, which appears to be 200 pounds (90kg). Not bad for a man with a backpack full of bricks, ammo, guns and knives.

On the Last of Us subreddit shared another small detail that jokingly stated that it was worth redoing the whole game for this – when Joel shoots or hits the globe, and it now rotates, and does not remain static. For something a little more brutal, Sharkoon’s death animation has been updated to be even more brutal. Joel’s eyes now visibly pop out of their sockets when one of them catches him, and this time his jaw looks even more broken.

Several of the photos around Joel’s house at the beginning of the game have also received minor changes. Not only has the background of Joel’s phone been updated to show a photo of him and Sarah, but there are also photos of what might be Sarah’s mother around the house, though this remains unconfirmed and might just be developers filling the space with whatever they can.

Speaking of Sarah, her baby photo, which was known to look odd in the original version of the game, has also been changed to truly resemble a human this time.
