Supporters of former US President Donald Trump do not pose a threat to the country. This statement was made by American leader Joe Biden.

Formerly Joe Biden named Donald Trump and his supporters are extremists. According to him, these people pose a threat to the democracy of America and the entire state as a whole.

“I don’t think that any of Trump’s supporters pose a threat to the country,” Joe Biden was quoted by The Hill online publication. The American leader, however, clarified that he considers all people who call for the use of violence, refuse to recognize the election results and insist on their annulment a threat to US democracy.

Biden also recalled the attack by Trump supporters on the Capitol in November 2020. “People voted for Donald Trump and support him now, they did not vote for the attack on the Capitol. They did not vote to cancel the election. They voted for the philosophy he put forward,” the American president added.

Trump and Biden were rivals in the 2020 presidential election. In early November 2020, supporters of former US President Donald Trump stormed the Capitol. They broke into the building where the electoral college voting results were being approved. The former head of the White House intends to re-nominate his candidacy in 2024. Trump has repeatedly said that he “always put America first”while blaming Biden in the collapse of the American economy.
