In the images, the senator, former Medellín councilor and close friend of Mayor Daniel Quintero, looks apparently intoxicated and should even be held to help you walk to the hotel entrance.
But the congressman wants to stay out. With cell phone in hand, stumbling, he yells at one of the uniformed men that he is a murderer and asks him to tell how he killed the “innocent pelaos”, to which the agent replies: “Do you know it was me? Don’t say it was me, you may be a senator, but you respect me.” The policeman also warns him that if he hits him, he will capture him.
The reason why the congressman aggressively rebuked the uniformed men is still unknown, but in the video You can hear these tell him that at no time have they disrespected him.
Another video that was published shows that Flórez also tells them that they got used to violating the rights of Cartagena and called them disrespectful, thieves, robbers and violators of rights. He even yelled at one that he was a “toad, bastard.”
Later, following knowing the publications, this Friday, September 2, the senator gave an interview on Blu Radio and questioned that they asked him regarding the fact, because he considers that this is his personal and private life.
He admitted, yes, that he had an argument with the policemen; He did not give further details, but added that he had a difference with the police and that he did not like the way they treated him, but that he does not regret it.
He also stated: “I told the police several things.” It is surprising that he stated that he is not going to give up his “humanity” because he is now a congressman and that you do not have to behave as the “example of the people”. He added that he is 31 years old and that is why, from time to time, he has this type of behavior, in which he gets upset and says politically incorrect things.
Flórez has had other episodes of aggressiveness. When he was a candidate, he remembers how he elbowed his colleague Susana Gómez, today a representative in the Chamber, on the stage, because he wanted to be closer to Gustavo Petro. He was even denounced that he had committed domestic violence with one of his ex-partners.
