Kannur – Faiz is on his way to reach London by cycling 30,000 km through 35 countries in 450 days. The journey to London started from Thiruvananthapuram on 15th August. The flag was flagged off by Minister Sivankutty. The journey across 2 continents is led by Team Echo Wheelers with the support of Rotary International with the slogan ‘From Heart to Heart’.

Faiz travels on American company’s Sarladisk Trucker Cycle. Pakistan and China are excluded from the trip due to not getting a visa. Travel from Thiruvananthapuram to Mumbai by bicycle and reach Oman by air. From there, he will cycle through UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, Iran, Georgia and Turkey and then enter Europe. The travel arrangement is to reach London in March 2024.

Faiz, who was a Wipro employee, quit his job and set out to travel around the world on a bicycle. The first trip was from Kozhikode to Singapore in 2019. Member of Rotary Club of Calicut Sunrise Club. Hailing from Thalakulathur, Kozhikode, Faiz is the son of KV Ashraf and KP Fauzia.

His wife is Dr. Azmin. Fahsin Umar and Aisin Nahal are children. Kennanur Cycling Club in Kannur and Thalassery Cycling Club in Thalassery welcomed Faiz in the district. Cannanur Cycling Club Vice President P. Hari, Khalid Abubakar Koothuparamba, Rajesh Kumaran, Pramod Nettoor, Bineeth Narayan, Surumi Shiras, Dr. T. R. Deepti and A. C. Akshay spoke.
