The Turkish General Directorate of Coastal Safety said in a statement that a cargo ship named “Lady Zahma” ran aground following it broke down while heading towards Istanbul, and docked in the Bebek area.
The directorate confirmed that rescue ships and boats were heading to the site of the 173-meter cargo ship, and said, “The movement of ships has been suspended in the strait.”
