NASA targets Saturday for launch of Artemis I mission

NASA is targeting this Saturday for the launch of its Artemis I lunar mission from Kennedy Space Center in Florida, following a first attempt was canceled on Monday due to an engine problem.

The new launch time is set for 2:17 p.m. local time (6:17 p.m. GMT) on Saturday, September 3.

Mission officials had given up their rocket on Monday due to a problem with one of the four RS-25 engines.

Teams are currently analyzing the data, updating procedures and checking hardware to resolve issues, NASA said.
