It is in summer that we are most unfaithful if we are to believe the new ranking produced by Gleeden, the number one site specializing in extra-marital encounters in Europe. In Belgium, five cities stand out and among these, only one is Walloon. What is happening in the north of the country?
In first position we find Ostend, Knokke-le-Zoute is second while Le Coq closes the podium. The seaside towns therefore seem to be the places conducive to extra-marital adventures during the summer since it is there that the users of the dating site have carried out the most partner searches. In fourth position, we find Liège, while Ghent is fifth.
The site also wanted to know if the holiday period played a role on users. Thus, two-thirds of respondents admitted to having connected to Gleeden from their place of vacation, 41% on a regular basis and 27% on an occasional basis. 52% said they had done it mainly out of curiosity to discover the profiles offered in these unusual environments.
46% of those questioned explained that they were actively looking for a lover or a mistress while 29% did so only to pass the time. Finally, 44% admitted to having had an extra-marital affair during this period.
