Conso alert: Carrefour, Intermarché, Casino… Massive recall of white ham throughout France for the presence of listeria

A vast campaign to recall ham trays was launched on Wednesday.

Several retail chains are recalling Adrien Peyrolles brand white ham for the presence of listeria monocytogenes.

The specialized site Drink reminder has posted the recall sheet for this product.

The product has the following barcode: 3089739442005, batch number 20422350116 and the expiry date is 09/22/2022, indicates the site. The superior cooked ham cooked on the bone (2 slices, 180 g) in question had been marketed since August 25 by Carrefour, Intermarché, Casino and available from delicatessen butchers throughout France.

It is requested to no longer consume the product and to destroy it. A refund is offered as compensation. “People who have consumed the products mentioned above and who have fever, isolated or accompanied by headaches, and body aches, are invited to consult their doctor and report this consumption”specifies the reminder sheet.

Listeria can lead to serious forms with neurological complications and maternal or fetal damage in pregnant women. Pregnant women as well as immunocompromised people and the elderly should be especially alert to these symptoms.

Listeriosis is a disease that can be serious and has an incubation period of up to eight weeks.
