Saif Ghobash, Secretary-General of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, issued Council Resolution No. (99) of 2022 regarding the twenty-fourth to thirty-three investment zones in Abu Dhabi, and it was published in the latest issue of the Official Gazette issued by the Council’s General Secretariat.
The decision indicated that the Council decided the following: Approval of converting the following lands into investment lands:
• No. 1 Al Shamkha Basin 35 in the area of Al Shamkha City, the address of the plot (1-000-033-102) of Al-Rayman 2 project, the twenty-fourth investment zone, according to the boundaries shown in the map attached to the decision.
• No. 1 Free Zone Dock 2 in the Zayed Port area, the address of the plot (1-000-111-0) for the Port Zayed project, the twenty-fifth investment zone, according to the boundaries shown in the map attached to the decision.
• CIA No. Al Raha Beach Basin, East 2 in Al Bahia area, address of plot (0-0-000- C1A) for the Yas Hills project, the twenty-sixth investment zone, according to the boundaries shown in the map attached to the decision.
• No. 674B, Ain Al-Fayda Basin, in the Ain Al-Fayda area in Al-Ain city, address of the plot (28-01-801-6748) for the Ain Al-Fayda Wilderness Project, the twenty-seventh investment zone, according to the boundaries shown in the attached map.
• No. C2 Sas Al-Nakhl Basin in the Sas Al-Nakhl area, plot address (0-001-000- C2) for The Gateway Project, the twenty-eighth investment zone, according to the boundaries shown in the attached map.
• Cla No. Old Samha Basin east in the Samha area, plot address (C1A -000 -006 -053) for the rural houses project and land No. C1b Old Samha East in the Samha area, plot address (-0-(0-0-000- C1B) ) for the Garage project of the twenty-ninth investment zone, according to the boundaries shown in the attached map
• No. P7 Basin (j9) in the Mohammed bin Zayed City area, plot address (006-249-000- P7) for the Burjeel Medical City project, the 30th investment zone, according to the boundaries shown in the attached map.
The decision stipulated instructing the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, in coordination with the Department of Municipalities and Transport, to set a mechanism and criteria for converting lands into investment areas, a mechanism for canceling contracts in the event of non-compliance by developers, and following up on the commitment of developers and beneficiaries of investment lands, to developing and exploiting them in accordance with the purposes and objectives assigned to them. Provide the Executive Council with the result within four months, and take the necessary action in accordance with the applicable systems.
