Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry is participating in the International Food Exhibition – MIHAS in Malaysia, which is scheduled to be held from 7 to 10 September, with the participation of more than 1900 companies from countries around the world, as part of the Chamber’s plan to intensify the participation of its members in foreign exhibitions, with the aim of discovering foreign markets and discussing ways Forming partnerships and exchanging deals to increase the volume of foreign trade and promote the investment potentials and opportunities available in the Emirate.
Abdullah Abdul Mohsen Al Nuaimi, Director of Member Relations and Support Department, said that the Ajman Chamber is participating with 6 factories from the food and beverage sector in the international exhibition – MIHAS for food, in order to achieve the Chamber’s objectives aimed at enhancing the sustainability and growth of the business community and diversifying the possibilities of competitiveness and leadership, in addition to the Chamber’s efforts in promoting Exchange of experiences between business owners from Ajman and their counterparts from abroad.
He explained that the food industry sector is one of the most promising sectors in the emirate, and provides qualitative investment opportunities that contribute to the growth of the economic sector and contribute mainly to the national strategy for food security and ensuring the improvement of quality of life, noting that the number of factories operating in the food and beverage sector in the Emirate of Ajman reached within a year. 2021 to 34 factories, and the contribution of food and beverages to the total industrial output of the Emirate of Ajman was 4% during 2021, with an annual growth rate of 29% compared to 2020, which reflects the successive growth of the food and beverage sector.
The Director of Member Relations and Support Department stressed the importance of the exhibition and its role in providing a global platform for discussing developments in the food and beverage sector, production methods and packaging.
Al Nuaimi added: “We are keen to diversify its participation plan in foreign exhibitions for the current year, with the aim of enhancing the benefit of its members from companies and factories, exploring new markets for national products, and opening areas for cooperation and companies between the private sector in the emirate with various countries, especially that Ajman has more than 1,000 factories.”
