Elton John, happy souvenir photo with Diana for the 25th anniversary of his death

For the 25th anniversary of Lady Di’s death, her friend Elton John paid tribute to her with a magnificent souvenir photo.

It’s been 25 years now since Diana lost his life in a car accident. A tragedy that occurred in Paris on August 31, 1997, when the Briton was only 36 years old. While his lifelong fans crowded onto the Alma Bridge or outside the gates of Kensington Palace to pay homage to him, one of his famous friends took to his social networks to honor his memory.

Wednesday, Elton John has indeed relayed a souvenir photo to mark this sad anniversary. However, the singer preferred to highlight a smiling Lady Di, happily posing with him backstage at a concert given in 1993. “We will always miss you,” wrote the 75-year-old artist in the caption of its publication. A tribute in image which has not failed to delight its approximately four million subscribers.

Elton John and Diana had met in 1981 and immediately became friends. On September 6, 1997, at Diana’s funeral in London Elton John had interpreted on the piano a personalized version of the title “Candle In The Wind”, a song which will remain therefollowing attached to this princess so popular.
