functional counterfeits already available

The YouTube channel Amazing Unboxing was able to get his hands on mobiles with a operating system imitating the design of iOS 16 like some Android launchers, but this time pushing the deception even further. Indeed, the very format of these smartphones is directly inspired by multiple leaks ensuring that we know the appearance of the iPhones expected for next Wednesday’s keynote.

This is evidenced in particular by the arrival of a duo of punches at the top of the front, which should effectively replace the notch on the iPhone 14 Pro according to most analysts. At the bottom of the screen, however, an imposing black border is a stain and already allows you to recognize that we are not facing a real Apple product here.

Beware of fake iPhones

Caution, however, because with this type of device several risks necessarily arise. Already, you should know that the brands that indulge in this little game do not offer you the same guarantees as the real smartphones from Cupertino. However, we know that the manufacturers in question are precisely eager for inexpensive components to offer you an alternative to real iPhones for a more affordable price. Such parts can thus prove to be defective and not really holding up long term.

Moreover, even if the real iPhones are not yet on sale, when they are Apple might condemn designs copying its intellectual property. The authorities might then quickly consider third-party models as counterfeitsmaking their owner potentially guilty of concealment.

Meeting next week

To discover iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro, it is therefore better to wait until the conference that Apple will give at the Steve Jobs Theater on Wednesday, September 7th. The event will be held at 7 p.m. (metropolitan France time) and will be broadcast live on YouTube; you can follow the live in different ways as explained right here.

On D-Day, we should finally know the complete technical sheet of Apple’s new high-end mobiles. These might be equipped with a new chip, more RAM, satellite connectivity or even reverse charging and an improved camera.
