Theft of a bicycle – police are looking for witnesses
Just as an 18-year-old released his bike, which was secured with a lock, on the forecourt of the Lago shopping center in Constance on Thursday at 8.40 p.m., a 30-year-old man living in Switzerland, accompanied by a second, as yet unknown person, walked up to the 18- year-olds. According to the Konstanz public prosecutor’s office, there was a short scuffle, in which the 30-year-old is said to have held a knife in his hand. The man pushed the adolescent to the ground, took the bike and wanted to flee in the direction of Switzerland.
However, the 18-year-old was able to stop the stranger and hold him down during another scramble until the police arrived. The suspect has been arrested for the time being.
A small amount of cocaine was found during the search along with a knife. Against the 30-year-old man, who had entered Germany without permission, a security deposit of 1,000 euros was raised at the responsible district court on Friday followingnoon.
