September’s PlayStation Plus Essential games have been revealed, but the selection for PS4 and PS5 isn’t much to dream regarding…
New month means new batch of games offered in PlayStation Plus Essential (also available in Extra and Premium subscriptions). And, as always, Dealabs was able to get the list a little early.
So here are the PS4 games and PS5 that it is possible to claim free of charge from September 6 to October 4 subject to being a subscriber. On the program: car races, an adventure and photography game, and fighting.
Games available on PS4 and PS5 in September 2022
The games offered in the PS+ in September should therefore be:
- Need for Speed Heat (PS4)
- TOEM (PS5)
- Grandblue Fantasy: Versus (PS4)
We no longer present the saga Need for Speed which has been heating up the asphalt for nearly three decades. NFS Heat is the penultimate opus, released in 2019. Its particularity is its day/night cycle which allows you to earn money by swallowing the asphalt during the day, and reputation in illegal night races. But beware, the police are watching the grain.

TOEM is an original indie game. In addition to its particular black and white graphic touch, it is anchored in the genre of photography games, like a Pokémon Snap. The object of the game is to photograph a rare phenomenon called Toem. In his quest, the protagonist will have to solve many cases using his camera, whether it’s tracking down bandits or even serving as a muse for a musician. So many crazy adventures that will make young and old laugh for a few hours.

Grandblue Fantasy: Versus is a 2.5D fighting game with graphics close to a Japanese anime and created by the group behind Dragon Ball Fighter Z or the saga BlazBlue. Although the title does not offer many fighters (only 11), they are all unique and with their own style. Finally, this game has different modes, including an RPG mode, playable in coop.
