Microsoft has unveiled the next batch of games that will be available through Xbox Games with Gold for the month of September.
As usual, the publisher unveiled the lineup with a new YouTube video showcasing four titles that will be free for a limited time. Xbox One titles include The gods will fall et Double Kick Hero and through backwards compatibility, Xbox 360 titles Thrillville et Portal 2.

- The gods will fall: September 1 – September 30
- Double Kick Hero: September 16 – October 15
- Thrillville: September 1 – September 15
- Portal 2: September 16 – September 30
The gods will fall is an action-adventure game that sees the player battle deities and mythical creatures as a Celtic warrior, while traveling through “every god’s hellish lands”.
In Double Kick Hero, a 2D pixel action game, players will travel the post-apocalyptic highways battling zombies and militia. The game also combines the mechanics of a shoot-em-up and a rhythm game, accompanied by heavy metal music.
The classic Xbox title Thrillville is a major throwback that lets players build their own theme park, participate in board games, and ride the roller coaster they’ve created.
Perhaps the most notable title is that of Valve Portal 2. This classic, award-winning sci-fi puzzler, which first released in 2011, features an extensive single-player campaign and two-player co-op mode. Players are tasked with exploring Aperature’s science labs and experiencing a host of problem solving.
The Xbox Games with Gold range offers a value of over £57.41 ($66.96) and up to 3000 in gamerscore.
Last month, Microsoft offered Yooka-Laylee, Darksiders IIIand two other backward compatibility additions, lost planet 3 et Garou: Mark Of The Wolves.
