As soon as Shaaban Sanad heard the distress of a woman and her children from the attack of a dog in the city of Al-Rehab, he came to her rescue in a courage that was praised by the residents of the city located east of Cairo through their Facebook page.
At five in the evening last Saturday, a man in his thirties was busy irrigating green spaces in Neighborhood 96 in Rehab City, when he noticed a woman and her children calling for help from a dog attack, so he did not care regarding what might happen to him and intervened to protect them.
“Six things were coming out of Al-Arabiya’s bag when the dog attacked them,” the man of Sa’idi origin, who is from Minya Governorate, describes the moment the woman cries for help.
Sanad added that he hurried towards the woman and stood in front of the dog to prevent him from biting them.
The 30-year-old revealed that administrative security workers and passers-by took him following the dog escaped to a medical center, where he received first aid and then was transferred to Demerdash Hospital, where he needed two stitches in the lips and 10 stitches in the chin.
After leaving the hospital, “Uncle Shaaban” learned that the woman and her children had survived the attack, “the news guided me,” noting that the General Authority for Veterinary Services had managed to kill the dog.
On the pages of “Al-Rehab”, hundreds of residents of the city and those who learned of the accident praised the courage and valor of “Uncle Shaaban” in saving the woman and her children.
