Dutronc father and son were Audrey Crespo-Mara’s guests in seven to eight on TF1 this Sunday. The two artists, currently on tour as a duo, returned to the increasingly fragile state of health of Françoise Hardy (75 years old). “Mom is not in great shape”, says Thomas (49), regarding his mother who suffers from cancer of the larynx. “To spend time with her, it’s not very easy. We get there. But the poor thing, it’s not easy for her.”
And the son to continue: “The sad thing is that she mightn’t even come see us. She never will, I think. She watches a lot of little movies on YouTube that people make with their phones.” Jacques Dutronc, the singer’s ex-companion, confesses that this tour was an opportunity to meet on stage, but also and above all to make a kind of gift to Françoise Hardy. “We did it for her. I’m doing it with Thomas, but it’s all for her. I think it makes her happy.e. “ Papa Dutronc also admitted to having been little present for his son during his childhood. “It was Françoise Hardy who had the whip. I made films. I was not often there”, he confessed on TF1. An absence from which Thomas Dutronc has not really suffered. “ I havei have two parents who are wonderful, who are very beautiful, very talented, who made wonderful songs that everyone loves, he concludes. It didn’t crush me too much in my childhood because I had a lot of love and admiration from everyone.”
